Campaign Stalls
PushBikes has a stall at many events. With NewsMail and the message board we plan to ask for volunteers with reasonable notice.
No special skills are required, just a willingness to listen to people. You won't be on your own and we have plenty of information to answer many of the questions that are asked.
Distributing Leaflets
Volunteers to drop off newsletters & rides lists to their local bike shops, library and sport centres, say quarterly.
Have a look at our list of bike shops and if you know of shops or leisure facilities near you which are not on the list let us know, so we can ask if they would display PushBikes material.
Would a PushBikes poster be suitable in your workplace?
Writing
Would you like to write for the newsletter, help flag up items for NewsMail or join the team writing for the website?
Telling us what you think
On specific issues and generally. Getting comments by email is easy, the hard part is presenting them to a wide audience. Perhaps by adding them to the news items pages or via NewsMail if the trial is a success?
Recruit a friend
Membership funds our work and keeps members informed of what's going on from a cycling point of view.
Tell a friend why you belong to PushBikes and what it means to you. You can print membership forms from the website.
Come to Meetings and Consultations
Come to some of our monthly meetings so we know what you think. The more input from members the stronger PushBikes's voice is in talking to the Council, British Waterways etc.
The monthly general meetings are open to all. They are on the third Tuesday of each month at 19:30 in the meeting room at the Warehouse, Friends of the Earth, 54-57 Allison St. Birmingham.
Join PushBikes rides
There is at least one Sunday ride each month and a weekly Wednesday evening ride to a real ale pub. Come and meet other cyclists.
