October 9th: Cyclists Meeting with Birmingham City Council

PushBikes have arranged a cyclists meeting with the Birmingham City Council on 9/10/08 at the Birmingham & Midland Institute starting at 19:00.

Come along at 18:30 & put stickers on the BIG map and do post-it notes about cycling problems, ideas and solutions for the Q&A session.

Everyone is welcome, not just PushBikes members, but we need a good turnout of members to demonstrate that improving cycling is something lots of voters want.

You can help by recruiting people to come and telling us what issues concern you most - see our campaigns page.

Introducing PushBikes NewsMail

As a trial we will be emailing members monthly with a brief digest of cycling news, diary of upcoming events and campaign updates.

To keep it brief, each item will have a link to details on the website. Comments on specific items can be emailed to us, or better posted on our message board.

To block spammers, please put your post code as the first line of your emails.

We hope you will give it a go for the 3 month trial but you can unsubscribe by emailing us.

Widening participation

PushBikes urgently needs your help!

  • Distributing Leaflets: to distribute newsletters & rides lists to their local bike shops, library and sport centres, say quarterly.
  • Writing: would like to write for the newsletter or help flag up items for NewsMail?
  • Stalls: PushBikes has a stall at many events. With NewsMail we plan to ask for volunteers with reasonable notice.
  • Telling us what you think: on specific issues and generally. Getting comments by email is easy, the hard part is presenting them to a wide audience. The message board or adding them to the news items pages?
