Ad hoc Rides
Wednesday Evening Rides in Winter
While the regular Wednesday evening rides are suspended during winter, ad hoc rides are arranged each week provided the weather forecast is ok and enough people say they are coming.
The ride will often be within Birmingham to avoid unlit, pitch black, country lanes. Some of the route may be along canals or cycleways so proper lights are essential.
Suggestions for the destination are welcome.
Meet either the main entrance to the MAC or the Maypole, at
19:45 for a 20:00 start. 
The meeting place depends on
who is coming and the destination, so you need to email pbRides
to confirm you're coming on a ride that week.
MAC: meet at pelican crossing at the entrance to the MAC Park on Edgbaston Rd
Maypole: meet outside Sainsbury's at the junction of Alcester Rd South & Maypole Lane.
The return ride usually starts at 22:30ish. Some rides could start & return earlier if participants would prefer this: join the Rides mailing list to have your say.
How:
- Monday - notice emailed via the rides mailing list and on the rides forum if weather forecast is OK.
- Responses: who's comimg, proposed destinations by emailing (use this to subscribe to rides mailing list)
- Tuesday 22:00 final details emailed via the rides mailing list and posted rides forum
It's always a good idea to check the rides forum before you set out, just in case unforseen circumstances force any changes. It's also helps to include your mobile number your email so we can contact you if required.
