Work in progress. The idea is to create a set of route
descriptions and maps.
Anyone who would like to contribute, please use email link below to
volunteer.
Free Cycling Maps
Available from most councils in the West Midlands.
The BCC map is printed and available form from libraries etc.
Most of the others are downloadable pdfs. The BCC is developing
an online cycling map.
Online Routes
BikeRadar offers
an excellent collection of routes.
The Beacon RCC routes are excellent, their message
board has links & descriptions. Most are in the range 40-60
miles, the Burst rides tend to be shorter though.
Sustrans
Sustrans online shop has a
wide range of maps.
Joining PushBikes Rides
All Push Bikes rides are free, open to members and
non-members.
Sunday rides
Usually start at 10:00. The meet up site varies with the
destination but is usually either the MAC or King's Norton
Station.
The ride will be between 20-30 miles into the countryside with
hours stop for a leisurely lunch.
The return journey is timed to reach the start point at
3:00-4:00pm.
Wednesday rides
Usually start at 19:45-20:00 at the MAC.
Many rides are along unlit lanes in the countryside. Adequate
lighting is essential.
The ride will be around 10-15 miles to a pub for a leisurely
pint. The return journey is timed to reach the start point at
23:00-00:00pm.
Upcoming Rides
You can find out about upcoming rides on the rides page.
You can also subscribe to the rides mailing list which allows you to post replies etc
or the notification mailing list which is outgoing only. We
try and send a notification through both about a week before each
ride.
