Birmingham Cycle Revolution (BCR) is celebrating the return of National Bike Week from 13 – 21 June with an entire week of pedal powered fun.
Bike Week is an annual, nation-wide opportunity for organisations to promote cycling and show how easily it can become part of everyday life. The dedicated week aims to get people to give cycling a go all over the UK, whether this be for fun, as a means of transport or to get fit.
With a number of events running all over the city, there’s bound to be something for everyone, so take a look at the events below and see if you can get cycling this June.
BCR are kick-starting Bike Week with a showcase event in Victoria Square. On Tuesday 16 June between 12pm – 6pm the event will feature activities such as; adapted bike demonstrations, Brompton bike demos, a smoothie bike, art bike, Dr Bike checks and bike security marking, Birmingham Exchanging Places and much more!
Centro Love your Bike events - If your bike is feeling unloved, it's time to dust off the handlebars and give it some TLC! Sessions run from 4:30pm - 6:30pm and offer a free bike MOT. Find out more.

BikeRight! free adult Maintenance Classes – Strapped for time, or just want to learn the real basics? These maintenance classes cover safety checks, puncture repairs, replacing inner tubes and checking brakes. Interested? Find out more.
Cycle Forum - On Thursday 18th June the Cycle Forum will be back to update cyclists with latest plans for cycling in Birmingham. Held at the Birmingham and Midland institute, there will be a marketplace running from 5:30pm – 6:30pm involving cycling organisations, social enterprises and BCR consultations. From 6:30pm ‘til 8:00pm there will be a sit down session consisting of general updates on the 2015 programme of cycling activities for Birmingham from a variety of groups.
Wheels for All - Each Wednesday ‘Wheels for All’ sessions take place at Alexander Stadium, Walsall Road, B42 2LR.
