Northfield high street is awful for cycling, being congested with slow-moving cars.   On-street parking and difficult junctions add to the problems.   Consequently it is best avoided.   Unfortunately Maas Road was relatively recently made one-way, but without filtered permeability, so a quiet back road has become impassable. The route shown here requires a footpath to be made shared use.
