Why do the British have so much difficulty with designing good cycling infrastructure? Here on the A38 in Bournville cyclists are allowed to shared a narrow, bumpy path with pedestrians. Or maybe not. These signs cost money, but all they do is create confusion. Of course the safe option for someone determined to stay within the law is to not ride a bike here. No bikes here please, we're British.
